As I write this I am sitting watching the NBA
Basketball Finals with my brother-in-law.
Usually this time of year means one thing; lots of Jets Pizza. There have been years I have eaten Jets Deep
Dish Pizza during every Finals game. And
I have never been one to eat just a little Pizza. So tonight when Jeff (brother-in-law) called
and wanted to watch the game, I was overrun with the desire to have him pick up
a Jets Deep Dish Meat Lovers Pizza and bring it this way.
To make a long story a little shorter, I didn’t, and
Jeff not wanting to kill my new healthy eating ways brought the healthy ball
game alternative, Wings from little Caesars.
Now I love wings, and with a calorie count they aren’t killer (only
about 80 calories a piece) but their fat count is off the charts with only 2-3
wings putting me over my daily amount.
In the end, I did enjoy one chicken wing, and cooked up a package of
imitation crab legs to act as a wonderful basketball game snack. And the Miami Heat lost, so all around a
great evening.
The morning was pretty good as well. I had to go to some measurements for my
upcoming graduation (finished my Masters of Ministry) usually these types of
things are dreaded. Having to give my
weight and waist size to someone, this time although, I was proud to give my
weight. 303 on the dot. It’s not that it’s a good weight; it is
however the lowest I have been in eight years.
Each day I feel better and better and more and more weight falls
off.
After the measurements, I had a great workout,
jumping back into cardio. On the bad
side, I didn’t get a chance to start until almost 10:30, so the gym was already
warming up. I’ve heard it said that
working up a sweat is a good thing so this morning must have been great. I still hate Ab Ripper; so does my stomach,
which is still tight.
Had a good day calorie wise today however I didn’t
get a chance to eat much by the way of vegetables. An old friend of mine Meghan Slade was
reading my blog and noticed a lack of vegetables. (Which is strange because I
thought I was eating a lot) After reviewing my food logs, she is right. She sent me some great new recipes which I
will be trying soon, and sharing with my readers, and I look forward to getting
more from her.
As far as today goes, here is a look at my food
journal:
Post Workout: Protein Drink (1 scoop protein powder, 8 oz
skim milk) (220 Calories)
Breakfast: Total Raisin Bran (1 cup cereal, 1 cup skim milk) (246 Calories)
Lunch: Turkey Cheese Wrap (3 ounces Deli
Turkey, 1 slice Colby Cheese, Whole Wheat Tortilla) (360 Calories)
Afternoon Snack: Apple, Peanut Butter, Provolone Cheese (315 Calories)
Dinner: 1 Chicken wing, 1 package imitation crab (323 Calories)
Evening Snack: Weight Watchers Cherry Cheesecake
Ice Cream Sandwich (90 Calories)
Well
tomorrow will be another day; going to try to make it to a presentation from a
good friend of mine Carey Hughes who has lost an amazing amount of weight using
Body by Visalis. And if it works out I’ll try to get caught up
on these daily posts as I am now a full day behind in my posting. Until then avoid chicken wings and keep
working out…
