Power 90 Day 10

Well no flashy title today because I am just excited to have hit day 10 in my Power 90 challenge.  I have worked out every day I should according to the calendar, and I have logged everything I have eaten minus my day off.  All in all, I have stuck with the program and am 10 pounds lighter for it.  Although my stomach is still sore from yesterdays Ab Ripper (really wanting Sunday) it has been well worth it, and as far as a ten day evaluation goes, I would highly recommend it.

On another note, I was disappointed my plans to go see my friend Carey Hughes give a presentation on Visalus did not work out.  Visalus is a shake based weight loss program that has brought about huge weight loss with Carey (I think he is down 60 pounds).  Things just fell apart, and with my wife out of town for a few days, I was not able to make it.  However I hope he does another presentation soon so I can hear his story.

Also in the new and interesting thing, Library’s haven’t changed much since I was a kid.  This really has nothing to do with weight loss, but my daughter went with a friend to the Pittsford Public Library, and came home and asked me if I could take her so she could get some books.  Well we buy a lot of books for the kids, and Jen and I both have Kindles.  I honestly hadn’t thought about the Library.  I took the kids over later that afternoon.  They got books, plus they signed up for a summer reading program.  They both came home really excited to read, and I will be returning to the Library.  On the fun side, my son has been asking me all evening how much this is costing us.  First he told his sister to only get one book because of the cost.  Then in the car ride home he asked me how much it was to get the card for all the free book rentals.  Tonight, he asked me if we would be getting monthly bills.

If only weight loss was as easy as the Library.  I finished today short of calories once again at 1560, but did manage to eat a lot more fruits and vegetables.

Post Workout:  Peach Protein Drink (1 scoop protein powder, 8 oz skim milk 2 Peaches) (292 Calories)

Breakfast: Total Raisin Bran (1 cup cereal, 1 cup skim milk) (246 Calories)

Lunch: Tuna Sandwich on Whole Wheat (1 can tuna, 1 tbsp light mayo) (305 Calories)

Afternoon Snack: Mandarin Oranges with Fat Free Cool Whip (95 Calories)

Dinner: Chicken Stir Fry (2 stalks Broccoli, 6 ounces chicken breast, 1 bell Pepper) (363 Calories)

Evening Snack: 1 slice Totino’s Party Pizza, Weight Watchers Cherry Cheesecake Ice Cream Sandwich (255 Calories)

Well that’s about it for the day.  Tomorrow will be a challenge as I have no idea when I will be able to work out.  Because of work schedules and my wife being out of town it may not be until late afternoon or evening.  So I will let you know how that goes, as well as how it affects my routine which I am very stuck in.  Till then.
