Something about Thursdays like to mess with my
schedule. After the late night out with
my wife, and sending my daughter off early for cheerleading camp, then heading off
to Summer School early for a morning of teaching, I was unable to get to the
gym in the am. The afternoon didn’t go
much better, as a church event filled my gym. I’m just not sure a group known as Sr. Saints
wants to watch me sweat and shout, while they try to eat their lunches.
About 6:00 pm, I finally headed down to the gym, but
it was worth the wait, as my wife finally joined me. Now she had spent the day coaching
cheerleading, and was already exhausted and it was cardio/abs day for me, so
she didn’t complete all the exercises, but we both worked up a sweat and left
exhausted. For my bragging point of the
day I pushed my way through 90 crunches which was a new high, and with my wife
and daughter in the gym I pushed a little harder than usual. After 14 years of marriage, I still try to
impress my wife.
Still not losing much weight and trying to get my
calories up as I push for 1800, today I hit a little over 1700 calories so it
was better than where I was at. Here’s a
look at today’s food journal.
Post Workout:
Protein Drink with blueberries (1 scoop protein powder, 8 oz skim milk)
(261 Calories)
Breakfast: Kashi cereal, milk, ¼ cup of raisons (406 Calories)
Lunch: Tuna on Whole Wheat (1 can tuna,
light mayo) (305 Calories)
Afternoon Snack: Low fat cottage cheese (100 Calories)
Dinner: Crab, Broccoli, Red Bell Pepper (259 Calories)
Evening Snack: Kashi cereal, milk (275 Calories)
Still
frustrated with my lack of weight loss. In previous diets, I would lose 2-3 a week
without the work outs, so the fact I am working my butt off and I have seen no
weight loss this week is killing me.
That being said I am not thinking about quitting, I am feeling better,
and people keep telling me I am looking better so maybe something is
happening. But if the weight doesn’t
start to drop, I am going to go crazy.
Till tomorrow…
