Power 90 Day 8 – Let Week Two Begin

Well another day checked off, and it feels good.  I had to teach today (I teach summer school) so I had to wake up early to get over and get my work out in.  But I did, back to sculpt 1-2.  I can’t say I could do more than I did on Friday, but I didn’t do any less.  I would however like to kick a number of reviewers who said this product was too easy and would be too easy even for a beginner; because it is still kicking my butt 8 days in.  I look forward to the day I can do all 35 pushups in Sculpt 1-2, as it will be the most I have ever done in a day.

After the workout I have had a busy day as well.  Last week I would usually come home and take a nap.  Today I had to come home, turn around and go into work.  I’ve actually been working all day, and I can feel it.  Perhaps that 1 hour nap after my workout every day did more then I knew.  Tonight I sit here with sore muscles and a headache.  Maybe I just miss my wife who had to leave for a couple days for work.

Speaking of my wife being out of town, this has led to another huge temptation (Que Biggest Loser music).  I had to go pickup a few things at the store tonight.  For the most part, I have been having my wife make those trips, as I tend to be lured by anything that is 4 for a dollar.  Tonight as I was strolling through the aisles I found myself in the Bakery… Cookies, doughnuts, breads, and muffins -- these are a few of my favorite things and I was surrounded by them.

Well I pushed my way through.  I did end up buying a box of weight watchers ice cream bars, hopefully having something like this every now and then will help curb all the cravings I’ve been having.  Yes I know it won’t, and it may make it worse.  But I knew there was no way I could scoop my kids’ ice cream without something, I’m just not there.  Here is a look at my food Journal for the day:
Post Workout:  Protein Drink (1 scoop protein powder, 8 oz skim milk) (220 Calories)

Breakfast: Total Raisin Bran (1 cup cereal, 1 cup skim milk) (246 Calories)

Lunch:  Egg Salad wrap (1 whole wheat tortilla, 3 eggs, 1 tbsp light mayo) (415 Calories)

Afternoon Snack:  Cheese Stick, 2 oz deli sliced turkey breast (120 Calories)

Dinner: 8 oz Thick cut pork chop stuffed with ½ apple and 1 oz raisins.  (451 Calories)

Evening Snack:  Weight Watchers Cherry Cheesecake Ice Cream Sandwich (90 Calories)

Final Calorie Count is at 1542.  I may have a few grapes still as well.
Well as I mentioned my headache and sore limbs, I think I will call it a night.  I am working on reading through several weight loss books on the kindle this week and will be sharing my thoughts in the coming weeks.  So make sure you keep checking back for them.  Talk to you soon, And if any of these show up late this week, know that it’s because my computer is only half as dependable as my wives and she has hers.  Till Tomorrow…
