Well I have officially started my third week of
workouts. I was up this morning at 6:00
and was working out by 7:00. I had one
goal as I hit the gym this morning and that was to complete the full rep count
in all the exercises where I was lifting weights and not lifting myself. If you are not familiar, they usually suggest
doing between 8-15 of each set of exercises, and there have been a number of
them where I haven’t busted through the 12 count. This morning however I felt fresh after a day
off, and was determined to push through.
I did. The only thing I couldn’t
complete full counts of were pushups and dips, which I’m just not strong enough
yet to lift 300 pounds that many times.
I have now worked my way through the videos 12
times. Which puts me at 6 times each
video. One of the big complaints I read
was that Tony gets rough to take after a week.
To be honest, I haven’t got there yet.
I will say I am starting to know what’s coming, and I have stopped
getting a chuckle from his jokes (They were never worth a whole laugh, sorry
Tony).
After yesterday’s posts I decided to up my caloric intake
and do so very deliberately. I finished
the day with about 1900 calories. Here is
a look at my Food Journal.
Post Workout: Protein Drink (1 scoop protein powder, 8 oz
skim milk ) (220 Calories)
Breakfast: Total Raisin Bran
(1 cup cereal, 1 cup skim milk) (246
Calories)
Lunch: Crab Salad (3 cups spinach, mock
crab, mushrooms, croutons, bacon bits, ¼ cup shredded cheese, 3 cheese ranch) (485 Calories)
Afternoon Snack: Banana shake, Cheese Stick (1/2
scoop protein, banana, 8 oz milk) (315 Calories)
Dinner: Johnsonville Chicken Sausage Whole
Wheat Bun (2) Green Beans (522 Calories)
Evening Snack: Weight Watchers Cherry Cheesecake
Ice Cream Sandwich (90 Calories)
Well, my
rainbow of vegetables looked a lot more like a front lawn of vegetables, but
other than that I think the day went well food wise, I guess we will see on the
scales the end of text week. I am thinking
of taking the wisdom of my good friend Carey Hughes to heart and just keep off
the scales for a couple weeks, but not sure I have that much will power. Until later…
