This the last day before I start my Power 90, and I
found myself with a lot to get ready.
For starters, I had to get a place ready to work out. Luckily, I live basically across the street from
a gym and was able to set up a place to work out. I spent today cleaning up the back corner and
moving weights and weight benches. I must
have lifted more weights than I have over the past few months, but things are
looking good and ready to get started tomorrow morning.
I also had to get the TV and DVD players working, which
required a trip for a universal remote.
Turns out, my classic cheapness in buying the remote caused some difficulty,
as it doesn’t move through programs well; instead, I have to start the first
one then fast forward my way through. I
guess it’s not a great fix, but it will work for the time being so I don’t have
to officially move my Day 1 back.
I also stepped up and did what I was dreading. I took my starting measurements and pictures. I decided to wait and take my starting weight
tomorrow morning before heading over to the Gym. It was hard to see myself in the pictures,
especially the ones Beach Body recommends with the shirt off. If you’ve noticed many of the pictures I post
on here are close-ups. I try to stay
away from those full body pictures for 310 pounds of reasons. I have included a couple pictures from a round
I took with my shirt on. They are still
less than flattering, but if this works and I drop some pounds I wanted to be
able to show you before and after shots of the progress.
On the plus side, my son wants to get up and go over with me
in the morning. He decided to take a
round of pictures as well, but looks way better in his:
Finally, tonight I hit the store and did some shopping for
some healthy snacks and some protean filled healthy meals. One thing I am excited about is the Jeannie-o
turkey brats, (170 calories) and the 80 calorie whole wheat buns. Team one of those with some bell peppers and
a sweet potato and it’s a summer grill out special...
Tomorrow is the day, so I hope you’ll check back tomorrow
night to see how day one went, perhaps with a review of Sculpt 1-2 the first of
the power 90 workouts. I’ll also try to
post a rundown of what I’ve eaten through the day, including what worked and
what didn’t...
I want to give a
shout out to my old friend Dana, who said after reading my blog she joined My
Fitness Pal to track her calorie intake as well as her calorie burn. She’s been putting down a few miles a day at
the track in her quest for good health.
Keep it up Dana - it sounds awesome!
